This is what I wore out to lunch with my parents today. I'm quite proud of this outfit.. I feel pretty fierce in it. I layered a polka dot cardigan over a vintage dress that I altered last year and topped the look off with my Neiman Marcus x Target collaboration vest.
The pin I'm wearing is from a flea market in Sewanee, Tennessee. By wearing it, I'm implying that I'm a good bowler. However, I am not.
I used to have a pink sequin tiara that I would layer with my flower crowns, but it recently broke. I was so happy to find a blue one at Joann's the other day. PS: You can buy this flower headband (minus the tiara part) on my Etsy shop!
One of the best parts about this vest is the hot pink lining! Too fun!
Dress, altered vintage from Goodwill. Cardigan, Ann Taylor Loft. Vest, Target. Shoes, Jeffrey Campbell. Headband, handmade by me. Tiara, Joann's. Bag, Cambridge Satchel Company. Pin, flea market. Earrings, Walmart. Bracelet, Forever 21. Glasses, gifted to me from Giant Vintage.

I planned this outfit around these awesome sunglasses from Giant Vintage. The folks at Giant Vintage were kind enough to send me several pairs of super funky glasses the other day. I'm seriously obsessed with the vintage, cat-eye shape, and I'm always a sucker for polka dots. I like how these glasses look with the similarly polka dotted skirt and some fun, child-like elements- such as the headband and the shoes.
I've switched back to an old phone case that's super kawaii. I love fabulous, overly bedazzled iPhone cases.
Corsages always seem to add a unique touch to outfits. They remind me of 1950s prom aesthetics. This one is for sale on Etsy!
I've sort of been in a flat shoe phase recently, but I'm slowly getting back into heels. This pair of Jeffrey Campbells is one of my all-time favorites. I received them for my sixteenth birthday after drooling over them for months.. They're SO fun! I love wearing them with fun socks, like these Albert Einstein ones. I found them at a boutique when I was living in Providence, Rhode Island this past summer.Headband, Corsage, handmade by me. Sunglasses, Giant Vintage.

This past weekend I got together with my photographer friend Price Stone. He's very talented and does some really incredible portraits. Additionally, he's a great model. I've found that most photographers tend to be good models; they know how to move in front of a camera.
For these photos, I glued googly eyes to Price's face and wrapped him in textiles I designed at RISD Pre-college this past summer. I like the idea of photographing models with my textile designs. My original idea for this shoot was to dress and style Price to match one of my designs. This textile design is an abstracted composition of cacti and googly eyes, hence my inclusion of both of these items. The design of the print was also slightly influenced by the art of Yayoi Kusama. However I also added some other influences as the shoot progressed, such as other textiles, a googly-eyed doll head, a cow skull, and an array of flower headbands.
All of these textile were created with large-scale screen-printing techniques, in addition to some hand-painting. The textile at the top of the first photo was created with a hand drawing of hexagons, which I turned into a screen. Also I created some graphic line-work with a technique known as canning, where I used a hollowed-out can to squeegee ink onto my fabric.
These last photos have equal amounts of Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keeffe influences. The cow skull is from an antique mall in Nashville. I had been wanting one for a long time, and when I finally found one, I jumped at the opportunity. It's a really cool prop to use for shoots like this.

I've posted this faux fur coat many times before, but it is one of my favorite pieces. In addition to being fierce and fabulous, it's super warm and fun to wear.
I made this headband over thanksgiving break, while I was stuck at home after my wisdom teeth surgery. It's a Frida Kahlo Barbie headband, featuring a Frida Kahlo-fied Barbie head. I'm about to post it on my Etsy Shop, in addition to my Frida Kahlo painted jacket. Be sure to check my shop in the next couple days!

My lipstick was gifted to me by the lovely people at LimeCrime cosmetics. The color is "My Beautiful Rocket."

This outfit is my attempt at an "all-black" look. I've realized I love color way too much to pull that off.
This dress is one of my more unusual Goodwill finds. It has an foreign sort of look to it, with really eye-catching details. It's fairly long and floaty. Overall, it's a really fun piece to wear.
I layered a faux fur vest over the top. It's from the Target x Neiman Marcus collaboration. I found it for 70% off over the weekend! Pretty good deal! The vest adds a whole new level of fierce to this outfit. I love the texture, specifically the spiky looking shoulder pieces. Also, it has a neon pink lining!
I accessorized the look with my "You're a Doll Headband," available on Etsy, in addition to a recently created corsage, also available on Etsy!
This is clutch I used at Prom last year. The graphic black and white design adds a punch of funkiness to every outfit I've ever paired it with. It's a good bag to use at school whenever I don't feel like dragging a huge purse around. I can just stick it my backpack. I'm also wearing a lot of eye jewelry in this outfit.. The earrings are from a flea market in France, the evil eye bracelet is from a boutique in Providence, Rhode Island, and the doll eye ring is from Etsy. I'm really into eyes.
Dress, thrifted from Goodwill. Vest, Target. Shoes, Sam Edelman "Zoe" booties. Clutch, T.J. Maxx. Lipstick, MAC Pro paintstick in "Cyan."
My sunglasses were gifted to me by the lovely folks at Giant Vintage! Check out the kawaii gold heart detailing!
