I recently made this self-portrait cake as part of a fake birthday party installation. I bought a basic sheet cake from the grocery, painted on my face with icing, and decked it out with a ton of candy flowers, eyeballs, and small round cake decorations. I'm going to start sharing more of my art on my blog, because my personal style and my artwork are very closely tied, in terms of both concept and aesthetics. I also share my artwork on my art website (www.zoeschlacter.com).

I first met Mariana this past winter, when she wrote this post about me for CollegeFashion.net. She's a very talented photography major at the Rhode Island School of Design. (You can see her work here and here.) A couple weeks ago, I styled and modeled for one of her projects. These are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Print All Over Me recently asked me to do a collaboration, and I immediately jumped at the chance! PAOM digitally prints user-uploaded artwork onto fabric and sews it into garments. I love the concept, and I'm really excited by the idea of owning a closet filled with items I have designed. Other recent PAOM collaborations include Michael Burk, Solestruck, and Roberto Piqueras.
The digital prints in the collection were made with photographs of my paintings and headbands (like this one and this one). The collection launches today, and the pieces are for sale!
I styled this photo-shoot, which was shot by my friends Patrick Hulse and Gabriel Bielawski, to promote the collection.
The items from the collection
Worn with bracelets from Claire's Accessories and some DIY sequin sunglasses
This necklace is part of my upcoming collaboration with the Chinese brand Candies Gifts!
Worn with Adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony platforms
Worn with all-white Dr. Martens shoes
My friend Alexandra Alemany painted my nails to match the collection! She is a very talented nail artist.
All headbands handmade by me
Thank you SO much for this opportunity, Print All Over Me!

I was recently featured in the Chinese magazine, Little Thing! I have yet to see the actual issue in print, but I can't wait to get a copy! So far, I've only seen a digital version of the spread. Little Thing Magazine is really adorable magazine with a very unique aesthetic; Style Bubble recently wrote a post about it.
Little Thing sent me this really cute bag, along with some matching stickers and a keychain. All of it is so adorable!
